MemoKid's May/June 2026 Rubik’s Cube Ranking Competition Results

We are excited to share the results from our latest 3x3 Rubik’s Cube ranking competition at MemoKid. It was especially significant as students from our Speed Math Yr 2 program completed the assessment as their final exam before graduation because Rubik's Cube is one of the brain games that they learn in addition to their core program of using arithmetic operations for brain sports.

The performance data from this event highlights how structured training supports cognitive development. Our returning participants got up to 51% faster in their 3x3 solving speeds compared to their April results. We were also thrilled to welcome 19 additional participants who were included in the ranking for the first time, giving us a fantastic new baseline to track their future progress.

The final results also illustrated that the Rubik's Cube is an excellent cognitive exercise for students of all ages. The fastest three performers across the entire competition featured students from different ages: 9, 13 and 14. This shows that with structured training, students can build strong processing speeds and learn to manage complex, multi-step problems regardless of grade level. Congratulations to all participants!
